About Me

If you’re curious about my path and why I do this work, here’s a bit of my story:

I’ve always been drawn to what makes us tick—how our personalities, emotions, and circumstances shape how we think and act. That persistent curiosity about human behavior— including my own— led me to study psychology at Columbia, where I began to explore the science behind why we do what we do, and the subtle patterns in our lives that influence our choices.

Nearly a decade later, I earned my MBA at NYU. While I learned plenty about finance and economics, the classes that stayed with me—through nearly 30 years in the workplace—were the ones that explored leadership, organizational behavior, and the human side of decision-making in environments that demand measurable results.

It was there I saw how empathy, clarity, and sound judgment can drive meaningful action—even in complex, high-pressure, high-performance settings.

Outside of work, I’ve spent much of my life in sport—first as an NCAA Division I distance runner, and later as a masters-level competitive cyclist. Training and racing taught me about resilience, motivation, and the delicate balance between effort and reward.

It also deepened my understanding of how physiology and psychology shape performance, and how discipline and passion must coexist to pursue goals that truly matter.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that most of the moments when we feel stuck aren’t just about us—they’re about the relationships and responsibilities that surround us. Friends, partners, children, colleagues—they all shape how we see ourselves and the choices we make.

And when life gets noisy, it’s hard to sort through it all alone.

That’s why I do this work. Although I have a deep network of close and trusted friends, I’ve had moments when I wished I had someone else who could listen deeply, reflect clearly, and help me move forward with confidence.

Now, I offer that kind of support to others—not as a therapist, and not through formulaic coaching, but through a grounded, reflective process that blends empathy, structure, and lived experience. A process that helps you find the insight you need to move forward.

Whether you need a sounding board, a strategic partner, or just a nudge toward clarity, I’d be honored to support you.

Wishing you all the best,

Steven E. Rosenblum
